Steph is an artist, researcher, and poetic practitioner gathering moss in Leipzig, Germany.

Their practice tends towards situational gatherings and site-specific installations with performative, video, and sculptural elements. For now, thinking-with embodied research methods, theories of affect and multispecies care, and collective practices within a decolonial framework is important to them.

They co-host Catwings, an initiative for relational and situational art and research in Leipzig.

Steph is part of the Graduate School for Moving Image at the Kunsthochschule in Kassel and graduated with their Diplom Bildende Kunst with distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig. Prior to this, they apprenticed on a vegetable farm with a community-supported agriculture model as well as with a herbalist in upstate NY, USA.
